Sir Fitzroy Maclean Postgraduate Scholarships Award at University of Glasgow

The students of Glasgow University are now invited to apply for the Sir Fitzroy Maclean Postgraduate Scholarships Program.

Scholarship Description
The University of Glasgow is pleased to award 2 Sir Fitzroy Maclean Postgraduate scholarships. Sir Fitzroy Maclean was a Scottish soldier, author and politician. Awarded an Honorary degree of DLitt from the University in 1969, Sir Fitzroy Maclean had a long relationship with the University before he died in 1996. In 1997 a scholarship with respect to Sir Fitzroy’s interests and passions, and lecture series were created in his memory.

Award Value
Each of the scholarship recipients will receive up to £4500.

Level and Area of Studies
Postgraduate degree in all subjects available at the host institution.

Eligibility and Criteria
The main requirement of this scholarship is that the candidates should hold an offer to study at the chosen postgraduate course. Please note, the award is for one year and must be used in the year of the award; it cannot be deferred or transferred

Applicants’ Nationality
Candidates should be the citizen of one the following countries: Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Georgia, Uzbekistan, Moldova, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Croatia, Serbia, and Montenegro.

Application Instruction
There is no separated application form. To apply, you only need to apply the admission for the eligible courses.

Submission Deadline

  • Applicants holding a programme offer by 1 December will receive their scholarship outcome by 16 December
  • Applicants holding a programme offer by 1 March will receive their scholarship outcome by 16 March
  • Applicants holding a programme offer by 1 June will receive their scholarship outcome by 16 June
