Netherlands PhD Scholarship in Science Education at University of Groningen 2018

The Institute for Science Education and Communication is inviting applications for PhD Scholarship in Science Education. The student will be enrolled in the PhD scholarship programme and receive a scholarship of € 2,099 per month (gross) from the University of Groningen for a period of four years.

The PhD degree in science education offers candidates opportunities to undertake in-depth explorations of current research and theory in science teaching and learning across the spectrum of formal and informal education.

Eligibility Criteria: Educational background and a recently completed master’s degree in any of the following fields:

Educational Sciences, Science education, Natural sciences, Science communication, or a related field
competence in research methods in the social sciences either quantitative or qualitative
proven excellent oral and written English skills
excellent communication and collaboration skills
eagerness to work in an interdisciplinary and international environment
Dutch proficiency is not a requirement but it will be considered as an advantage.
